I lived through terrible homicides in Chatham. Police say just after students let out around 3:55, police say a man got out of a car wearing a blue mask. “He got out of a car and started shooting at a group of students. Three students were shot and are in critical condition.
It changed me because now I’m more aware of my surroundings and more cautious about things that I do. These were my friends that got shot so I felt like it was too close to home. My friend got shot 7 times standing right next to me. His blood splattered right in my face. Had to carry my friends back to school and get help. Its a trail of blood a whole block long. it hurt me to the core to see my friend bleeding like that.
