Like Father Like Son

On the 25th of march 2016. I was in my room. when I thought I heard something that sounded like glass was braking. at that moment I had to use the restroom.. so I said to myself, “nobody is that stupid because the town we lived in was known get people touched.” So I choses to go to the restroom.

On the way to the restroom the sound grew louder and before I knew it I was taken to the floor with a hand over my mouth. I thought my dad was in the house. But what they didn’t know my father was downstairs in the basement trying to find away out of the house without the police hearing. So I guess he gave it a try. He busted the window and I heard it when he done it. The white shirt sent three of his officers down stairs to check it out and I would say about two minutes later I heard bumping and groaning because they tazed my father to calm him down.

When he calm down they took him upstairs and took both of us to the squad car. We were sitting in the squad car for 30 minutes before my mother came home early from work for some reason. When she pulled up she start asking why the was on our property because she did know they had a warrant for my father arrest. So after they talked to my mother they took me and my father to that station.

When we arrive to the station they took me and my father to get are finger prints and mugshots. Then they took me to the investigation room. I was sitting in the for 3 hours before officer “walker” came in with a fold with what looks like pictures but before he does anything he tell me his name, and that everything I say will be tapped, and why’ll I’m being arrested. So he started off asking me if I been to Kentucky in the last 30 days. I new what he was about to start asking me about so I told him I needed my lawyer and a phone call ASAP. Before he questioned me and he slid me a picture of me and my brother in a car.

I look at it and laughed. Then he took me to a room where there was a phone and I called my mother to see if she was going to pay my bond and get me out. It was $6000. I was charged with 6 different things.

The next day I was picked up again because they said they found guns/drugs in the house. also they said they had evidence, that was used in a a resent shooting that left three males injured. That is when they busted the wall out in our closet. So from that moment on I sat in jail for 8 months in the in Benton IL JTC. so i went to about three court date to the a temp charges was drop and i was released. But they kept my brother and my father in custody because my father took a plead to serve 20 years. My brother took a 4-year pIee too have sentencing coming up. So, all I can do is hope for the best.
