On October 13th , A 15 year old boy name Anton Shaw was shot in a alley on 1100 block of Long and Division. There were no witnesses who could identify the murder . This has made a big impact on people in our community because Anton was well known .
Anton Shaw was only a freshman, he didn’t get the chance to grow into a young adult . Young people are being killed due to violence almost everyday , which is ironic considering are generation is the future .
Chicago needs a change . Although we can’t take every single gun from the hands of those who use them in the wrong ways , we can try to help them see how much it effects our community , our future , families and friends that are damaged due to gun violence.
